Online round table: "The Great Patriotic War in the focus of the information war: the experience of Russia and Abkhazia in countering falsifications of history"

The Fund for Assistance to Compatriots in the Humanitarian and Social Issues Areas "Humanitarian World", represented by the President of the Foundation, Andrey Golodniy, and the head of special projects, the chairman of the "Agency for Youth Initiatives", Alexander Pilipenko, took part in an online round-table format on the theme "The Great Patriotic War in Focus of the information war: the experience of Russia and Abkhazia in countering the falsifications of history".
A. Golodny made a report on the topic "Falsification of the history of the Great Patriotic War by Western countries," and A. Pilipenko, in turn, spoke about the preservation of historical memory as a necessary condition for the formation of civic identity among representatives of the younger generation.
Representatives of public organizations of the South of Russia and the Republic of Abkhazia, as well as scientists and cultural representatives, were also invited to participate.
During the discussion, other topics were also discussed:
The Great Patriotic War, as an object of information attacks: technologies and methods of replacing historical memory;
Sociocultural technologies of informational counteraction to falsifications of the history of the Great Patriotic War;
Historical and political aspects of countering the falsification of the history of the Second World War;
The significance of the history of the Great Patriotic War for the cultural and historical education of the youth of Russia and Abkhazia;
The role of family history in preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War and its significance for countering attempts to falsify the history of the experience of Russia and Abkhazia.
The event was organized by the Representation of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Abkhazia.
